Why we’re building Kindness Chain.

Kindness Chain started because a stranger sent me flowers during a week when I really needed something good to happen.

I wasn’t expecting them. They arrived quietly, and then kept blooming over the next few days. Every time I noticed another flower had opened, it lifted me again.

What stayed with me most was the feeling that someone had chosen to make my day a little lighter, even though they didn’t have to.

I wanted them to know how much it meant.

That feeling became the beginning of Kindness Chain: a way for people to send small, thoughtful acts of kindness to someone they may never meet, and for that kindness to be felt, acknowledged and passed on.

We are starting small, with simple surprises like flowers, coffee and book vouchers and with people who believe the world could use more unexpected moments of care.
